On Monday Apple announced the new iPhone 4 along with iOS 4 (formerly known as iPhone OS 4). I think I speak for the whole GatorTec team when I say WOW! Apple once again has raised the bar on what people can do with a smartphone. Some of the new features of this phone will be front facing camera for video chatting, 5MP rear camera with flash (can also record HD 720p video), Apple A4 processor, better battery life, noise canceling second microphone, all glass body, plus a lot more.

On the software side of things, iOS 4 has really matured into a very powerful platform. It now features multitasking, unified inbox, folders for your apps and much more. With over 100 changes under the hood, this is a huge step forward.

The new OS will be available for free on June 21 for iPhone 3GS and iPhone 3G (not all features available on 3G) and on the newest iPod Touch. The new phones will ship on June 24 and cost $199 for 16GB and $299 for 32GB.
